These terms govern your use of vidsnag.com ("VidSnag", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VidSnag. By using the service you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

Permitted use

VidSnag is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use it to:

  • Download videos and audio you have the legal right to download (e.g. content you own, content explicitly licensed for download, or content in the public domain).
  • Save publicly posted content for personal offline viewing.
  • Back up your own posts from social-media platforms.
Prohibited use

You agree NOT to use VidSnag to:

  • Infringe copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual-property rights.
  • Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit downloaded content without the rights-holder's permission.
  • Download content of minors in any inappropriate context, or any content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful.
  • Circumvent paywalls, DRM, or platform access controls beyond what is legally permitted in your jurisdiction.
  • Abuse the service through automated bots, scrapers, excessive requests, or attempts to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
  • Share your account credentials or sell access to your account.
  • Bypass or attempt to bypass our rate limits, captcha, or anti-abuse measures.

Violating these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or refund.

Copyright responsibility

You — and you alone — are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to download and use any content you process through VidSnag. VidSnag is a technical tool; we do not host, distribute, or curate the content you choose to download. If you believe content downloaded via our service infringes your copyright, please contact us with a takedown request and we will respond promptly.

Account responsibility
  • Keep your password secret and unique to this service.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Provide accurate registration information (real email — we send the verification link there).
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Free and Premium tiers

Free users are limited to 5 downloads per day. Premium users (when available) get unlimited downloads and additional features. We reserve the right to adjust tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.

Service availability

We strive to keep VidSnag available 24/7 but make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Source platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) may change at any time, which can temporarily break specific download flows. We disclaim liability for downtime, content unavailable from a source platform, or any inability to download a specific URL.

Disclaimers

VIDSNAG IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT DOWNLOADS WILL ALWAYS SUCCEED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIDSNAG AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUES — WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY — RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR (B) USD $10.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. On termination, all your data is removed from our active systems within 7 days (backups age out within 30 days).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
